Carbon MD Phil Linturn heads up VFX & Editing Jury at the Shots Awards

The Shots Awards celebrate our industry’s most innovative and inspirational campaigns. As jury head for the VFX and Editing categories at the Shots Awards America, our MD Phil Linturn is looking forward to being inspired, surprised and jealous in equal measure at all the amazing work being made right now!

Over two decades, and six international markets, Phil has experienced the evolution of our creative industry as an artist, producer and now manager. His lifelong passion for craft in all its forms has allowed him to collaborate directly with some of his favorite brands like Adidas, BMW and Nike. He has been invited to share his views on creativity all over the world, from Beijing and Berlin to Lisbon and Helsinki.

Before joining Carbon in 2016, Phil spent 12 years at the highly acclaimed VFX house, Glassworks. As COO, he oversaw all production in Amsterdam, Barcelona and London, including two of his standout favorites; the iconic G-STAR “The Art of Raw” and the highly awarded “Pay per Laugh”. In his two last years there, Glassworks was awarded 10 Cannes Lions, 13 Eurobest statuettes, 5 D&AD Pencils and the special award for “Best Post Production Company in Europe” at Ciclope.

At Carbon, Phil’s focus is building a burgeoning slate of design and directorial output and inspiring new creative ambitions, diversity of offerings and partnerships, such as a 2020 Super Bowl spot for Porsche (directed by Wayne McClammy and listed in Adweek’s top 10 Super Bowl ads).

Phil has previously sat on juries for AICP, Ciclope and Eurobest. Meet the full Shots Awards America jury.
